Lake Coldwater

Coldwater Lake is the only city, county, or state lake in southwest Kansas that permits water-related sports. It is a 250 acre man -made lake held within a 930 acre park within the Coldwater city limits.

Our lake is utilized by people from a large area of Kansas and Oklahoma. The lake provides ample facilities and opportunities for boating, swimming, fishing, bird-watching and camping. Those with campers and trailers will find adequate campsites with water and electric hookups, as well as sanitary facilities at various points around the lake. Other camping and picnic areas have been built within the park with more being added all the time.

Fisherman come to try their luck with the ever-elusive wipers and catfish. Annual fish stocking is handled by the Kansas Wildlife and Parks Commission.

There have been major additions to the park over the years. A nature trail has been added to the south end of the park and a two diamond ballpark with associated facilities has been added just to the south of the park entrance.
The lake is owned and operated by the city of Coldwater.

Your April rent AND your Seasonal Camper Lease Agreement is due into Coldwater City Hall
On Or Before February 28, 2026.   

The 2025 Lake Vehicle Permits will be discounted from January 21, 2025 thru January 31, 2025 ONLY.

STAMPED ENVELOPE SO THEY CAN BE RETURNED TO YOU (or you can pick them up at City Hall or the Lake)  
PLEASE, AS ALWAYS.... DO NOT SEND IN FOR  THE GOLF CART OR CARGO TRAILER PERMITS AT CITY HALL!! 
YOU WILL FILL OUT THE PERMIT FORM AND PAY FOR THEM WITH DEBBIE WHEN YOU BRING YOUR GOLF CART AND/OR CARGO TRAILER TO THE LAKE

**Past due after the 5th
**On the 6th of the month, a $50.00 late fee PLUS a 10% late charge will be added to your rent.      
 **If you do not pay your rent OR utilities for two consecutive months, your campsite will be forfeited.
 **3% credit card fee if paid by credit card
